Blogging has become more and more popular these days. Today, a blog is not just a personal space where you can share your thoughts or update your friends about what is happening in your life. Blogs are now used to earn money either by promoting products or services or by just driving visitors to your site. Before you could have that personal space or earn money online, though, you have to select the right blog hosting website.
If you have never done blogging before, selecting a blog hosting website can be a daunting task. There should be things you need to consider when selecting a blog site as there are many blog hosting providers, each offer different features. And although there are free blog hosting websites, it is important to take note that such hosting providers also have some drawbacks. Some of them might also require some technical knowledge. While free hosting websites are a practical choice for those who want to start earning money from blogging but have tight budget, it is still more practical to determine first what blogging platform you want to use and how much space you need for your blog.
If you want to earn money from your blogs, you most likely need to expand later; and if you haven’t figured out what niche is best for you, then you might need to change your domain name later. And since blogging can be a trial and error venture, it is best to choose a blog host that:
- allows you to expand your blog or that offers sufficient amount of space to accommodate your content;
- allows you to change your domain name or purchase domain names and allows you to host your domain names on the same account;
- allows you to use the blog platform you want to use;
- accepts or takes WordPress;
- has user friendly interface that allows beginners to manage it even with little technical knowledge;
- and offers technical support service in case you need technical help.
Another important thing to consider when selecting for a blog host is the cost of the package. Although there are many good benefits to buying expensive hosting packages, it is still practical to choose an affordable plan that suits your budget. Most especially if you are on a tight budget, this is extremely important because it usually takes months or years before you can start earning from blogging. Most importantly, remember that not all paid blog hosts can help you provide your needs. Some even charge a huge amount of money but the services they offer do not really compensate the money you invested.

A few years ago when the first few “web logs” started showing up, they were really ugly, and lots of them were stupid as well.
People wrote some “dumb things” about their daily lives, and others were outright crass advertisements for their products. And most really were ugly, plain dull pages with little color or graphics or interest.
Thank goodness they have grown up since then. Graphically stunning pages full of color… and interest! Not only that but full of really informative articles, and reviews and lavished with the personality of the writer.
That alone has made them the most sought after websites, but that’s not all, now they are work horses as well; they gather statistics and traffic; bring together events, and best of all they are also being used to bring their owners nice big steady paydays as well.
My personal blog, only started a little over a year ago,
Is extremely popular, and I don’t even know why, or even where the traffic is coming from. Yes, I do know where, but I mean rather why, as I don’t advertise or use a lot of traffic pulling gimmicks. I know hits aren’t the criteria but it looks so neat to say my blog has over 300.000 hits… and over 10,000 unique visitors.
So today’s blogs are as varied and unique as any web site. There are blogs for every niche; blogs for every profession and business; personal blogs, blogs set up for different areas of marketing; blogs made to bring in a good income; and blogs to teach you almost anything you would ever want learn.
With the wide variety and uses of blogs today, its no wonder that blogs have become their own niche
.
In a short search the other day, I found over 30 products written especially for the blogger and teaching how to improve and monetize blogs.
My strategy with my Blogger’s Blog here is to clear the field for you, give you a place to ask questions and share some neat tips you may have found. I will offer you reviews on different products, and give you a chance to check a lot of them out.
So Happy Blogging Folks… glad you dropped by, hope to be seeing you often. By the way… Bloggers News is a once a week, newsletter, so be sure to sign up.. there will be lots of good things in it for you along with freebies and lots of content and help. Be sure to sign up –
